White or Yellowish free flowing Powder or Granule cms na modified starch sodium carboxymethyl starch CMS Na
CMS Na Modified Starch Sodium Carboxymethyl Starch is an important modified starch with unique properties due to the presence of negatively charged functional group (CH2COO-). The introduction of carboxymethyl groups interrupts the ordered structure of native starch and intervenes with the re-association of gelatinized starch. This modification yields starch with decreased gelatinization temperature, increased solubility and improved storage stability.
CMS Na Modified Starch Sodium Carboxymethyl Starch has a wide range of applications in industries, mostly used for purposes of thickening, stabilization, water preserving, etc. In pharmaceutical industry, CMS, also known as sodium starch glycolate, is commonly used as disintegrant. It is also used in textile industry as thickening agent in textile printing paste and as sizing agent especially for hydrophilic yarn.
Another closed related material is carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC), which has been used intensively in similar industries. However, CMS Na Sodium Carboxymethyl Pregelatinized Modified Starch not only has many advantages over CMC, but comes with a much lower price tag. Therefore, CMS is poising to replace CMC in many of industrial applications.
Some Examples of CMS Na Sodium Carboxymethyl Pregelatinized Modified Starch Applications are:
*Wide Application in
White Cardboard, Coated Paper, Carbonless Paper, Transfer Paper, Thermal Paper, Banknote Paper, Offset Paper, Release Paper, Tipping Paper, Cigarette Paper, Decorative Paper, Bond Paper, Map Paper, Food Wrapper, etc.
Applications in Coating
|Applications as Wet-end Additive (Pulping)||
Applications in Surface Sizing
|Control and adjust the flowing property of paint and the sispersibility of the pigment, increase the solid content of paint.||Excellent dispersibility helps the shaping of paper and improves the evenness.||Increase the fluffing speed of paper obviously and improve the ink absorbability.|
Strengthen the water retention value of the paint and avoid the moving of adhesive, so that it can improve the leveling of the paint and quality of the coating.
|Improve the inner bond force of cellulose, increase the physical strength of the paper.||Excellent flowing and film forming property enhance the stiffness and smoothness of paper.|
Give good stability to the paint, keep the homogeneity of the paint system.
|Enhance the sizing effect.||Improve the surface strength and aeration, control curling.|
|Excellent film forming property, improve the gloss of the coating.||Increase the retention of additives, stuffing and tiny cellulose.|
|Improve the retention rate of the brightener, and increase the whiteness of the paper.|
