Zinc Stearate for Coating and Paint Industry
Zinc Stearate is a white coloured poweder. It is insoluble in water, but dissolves well in aromatic compounds like benzene and chlorinated hydrocarbons on heating. In fact, zinc stearate repels water (hydrophobic). It is the zinc salt of stearic acid. It is insoluble in alcohol and ethers. It is a very powerful mold resease agent. Zinc stearate does not contain any electrolyte. Zinc Stearate made from high-quality stearic acid through the use of dry method.
Zinc Stearate Paint and Coating Industry: Pigment suspension, improve grindability and matting. In the paint industry where zinc stearate is added to lacquers and paint coatings for use as a flatting and sanding agent.

1, Our zinc stearate for paint can be used in PVC stabilizer, carpentry primer paint, plastics, macromolecule colophony, fiber rubber, cosmetics, powder metallurgy, and cement products, etc.
2,The film-forming substances of NC are mainly cellulose nitrate (nitrocellulose)and alkyd resin.NC is natural drying coating which is characterized by a dry-speed quickly. Because the big molecular weight of cellulose nitrate and the low solid content of NC, its wettability for powder is poor. Therefore, appropriate addition of zinc stearate is 1%to 2%in NC, adding overload will affect the adhesion and transparency of the primer.
3, The film-forming substances of PU are mainly poly isocyanate resin (curing agent) and alkyd resins, which forming film by curing agent - NCO and alkyd resin - OH crosslinking reaction .PU is curing crosslinking coatings . Because its high solid content, the wettability is better. Therefore, appropriate addition of zinc stearate is 2%to 5%in PU, adding overload will affect the adhesion and transparency of the primer, even caused blushing.
