SKYSIL®AC-50 is mainly composed of calcium containing zeolite or amorphous silica gel, so it is also known as Ca/SiO2 pigment.The pigment has the appearance of white powder, the relative density is 1.8, the particle size is 3 ~ 5 m, the oil absorption is 40 ~ 60 g/100 g, and the calcium content is 5 ~ 10%.Ion exchange antirust pigment can exchange hydrogen ions on the film and substrate with calcium ions, thus neutralizing the acid, and maintaining a high pH value, inhibiting corrosion.Calcium ions can combine with metal oxide film to form a protective layer, so that the steel substrate is protected, reduce corrosion and extend the service life.Ion exchange antirust pigment does not contain heavy metals, non-toxic, and has a certain antirust ability.It is a new kind of non - toxic anti - rust pigment developed in recent years.The pigment is produced by using the presence of silanol groups (si-oh) on the surface of silica gel to exchange ions (such as calcium ions).First, the silica gel was ground into a fine powder, 100 g was weighed, 650 ml of saturated limestone water and 25 ml of 2.45 mol/L calcium nitrate (Ca(NO3)2) solution were added, stirred for 2 hours, and then left to rest for 3 hours.
